Happy Mother’s Day!

Rough Scene vs. Final Scene

Milt Kahl was in charge of the animation of this character, and yet again not quite thrilled, but completely knocked it out of the park. In this scene Madame Bonfamille greets her old friend, lawyer Georges Hautecourt. He is about to compliment her on her soft hands after having just kissed the cat’s tail.

Truly elegant and flawless animation, even the position of her hand just exudes she is an aristocratic lady, quite graceful.

REST IN PEACE, ROBERT B. SHERMAN

Robert Sherman, songwriter responsible for the creation of timeless songs such as “It’s a small world”, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” and award-winning songs such as “Chim-chim-cheree”. He and his brother who were a team also wrote for “The Jungle Book”, “The Aristocats”, “The Parent Trap”, “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” and “Bedknobs and Broomsticks”.

Bob Sherman passed away last night in London at the age of 86. His legacy will remain as a remainder of his greatness to us all. Thank you for all the magic you achieved through music.
