No more “Walt Disney”?

I just read a horrific article in which it was stated that the Walt Disney company are removing Walt’s name from its family film division. The name on our beloved castle logo will simply be DISNEY now, dishonoring its founder name.

This breaks my heart for a number of reasons, but mainly, it is because it’s taking away the true essence of what the Walt Disney company is, and turning its back in Walt’s legacy. This logo will no longer represent the ability to dream, imagination family or happiness, it is stripping itself from what it must always hold on to.

I am truly sad, as today, or the day this officially happens, means we are ignoring not only Walt, but Mickey, as they go together, and if we forget Walt and Mickey, then we forget everything else. Disney will no longer be Disney, if it is just Disney. Disney is and will always remain Walt Disney in my heart, and I should always tell my children that.
