As of March 23, 2012, Disney Legend Glen Keane has left the Walt Disney animation studios. Glen served as a mentor to several Disney artists and a hero to those aspiring to work for the company. This post is in honor of his outstanding work in animation, his ability to breathe life into that which was once without and his dedication to the Walt Disney company.

CHRIS PINE AND JAKE GYLLENHAALL CONFIRMED IN INTO THE WOODS

It was announced that Disney was in the makings of launching to the big screen an adaptation of the Broadway musical Into the Woods. So far, it appears their first goal is to assemble a dream cast. 

Meryl Streep, to play the Wicked Witch, and Johnny Depp, to play the Big Bad Wolf were already confirmed, and now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, it appears Chris Pine (Princess Diaries 2) and Jake Gyllenhaal (The Prince of Persia) will be portraying two egotistical brothers who are, in fact, Cinderella’s and Rapunzel’s princes respectively.

IRON MAN TECHNOLOGY AT DISNEYLAND PARC

Conmemorating that last week Iron Man 3 was released, the new Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries  attraction atInnoventions, at the Disneyland Parc. 

It’s an exhibit where you can virtually try on all 42 Iron Man suits! How cool is that?

Nanny

The live-action reference for 101 Dalmatians character Nanny, was actually not a woman, it was actor Don Barkley. Here is a photography performing for the puppy theft sequence, where the position and props are quite hilarious!

The character was animated by Ollie Johnston, and created her the most charming walk.  Nevertheless,  Milt Kahl helped with   pushing her proportions and definition. Frank Thomas had his hand a little bit there too.

TODAY, MOWGLI IN ANIMAL KINGDOM

Mowgli will be meeting intermittently throughout the day at the Oasis in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and at the front of the park. Sources say he might be accompanied by Baloo as well!

It’s a good chance for you to take a picture with a character we do not see in the parks as often.
